Who is ALM Plumbing?
William (Matt) Monk entered the trade over 20 years ago when he began his apprenticeship as a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 447. Trained by his father, Matt is a seasoned journeyman and experienced construction supervisor who knows the plumbing trade (literally) from the ground up. As a hands-on business owner, Matt follows a simple process to make sure he meets his customer’s needs:
- Listen to the customer’s request
- Analyze the situation
- Advise possible solutions (more than one when appropriate)
- Put it in writing
- Back up all work with Integrity

People are naturally concerned about controlling costs on a plumbing project, so Matt works hard to stay competitive. He often gives his customers a choice of paying either by the job or by the hour (and he’s never gone over his estimate). Of course, like any honest and reliable contractor, A.L.M. Plumbing is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business, and certified to conduct lead based paint renovation, repair, and painting activities pursuant to 40 CFR Part 745.89.
